Obituary Dinny de Bakker

Professor dr. Dinny de Bakker was head of one of the research departments at NIVEL. He was Professor at Tilburg University, TRANZO, holding a special chair on the structure and organisation of primary care. He passed away onDecember 31, 2016. We will remember him as a highly appreciated colleague.

Dinny worked at NIVEL from 1985. Not only did his research focus on primary care, he also contributed in person to the further advancement of primary care. He was one of the driving forces behind the NIVEL primary care database. Above all he was an amiable person, who led his research department in his own characteristic way: friendly, clever and effective. We are all going to miss him.
