Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan II: supporting the monitoring of the implementation 2022-2023

Background
The EUHealthSupport Consortium, in which Nivel paticipates, has been requested to support the monitoring of the implementation of the Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan. Therefore they will organise 12 meetings of the 'Subgroup on Cancer' and its 'Thematic Group on Comprehensive Cancer Centres'.
Aim
Nivel will support the monitoring of the implementation of the Cancer plan in the EU Member States.
Methods
We wil organise subgroup meetings on cancer, consulting with Member States.
In addition, we will conduct three studies aimed at strengthening the implementation of the Cancer Plan. This includes:
- a discussion paper on health warnings on alcohol labelling
- an analysis of the feedback on the call for evidence issued by the European Commission concerning the Update of the Council Recommendation on cancer screening.
- The content of a third study will be defined later on in the project.
