Anticoagulation care: developing a pharmaceutical care clinical guideline, 2016

Background
Several guidelines on anticoagulation care have been developed over the past decades. However, specific recommendations for pharmacological care are lacking.
Aim
In this project a clinical guideline for pharmaceutical anticoagulation care will be developed.
Method
A four-round adapted Delphi-study is used to reach consensus on the type and content of the pharmaceutical recommendations, which will be included in the guideline. Key opinion leaders as well as the iPACT-members function as the expert panel in the Delphi-study.
Result
A clinical guideline on pharmaceutical anticoagulation care, described in a scientific guideline article (comparable to cardiology guidelines, such as the ESC).
